Alexandrine Parakeet (Psittacula eupatria): A large Indian parakeet with conspicuous red patch on the shoulders. Males have rose pink or black collar. Found all over peninsular India. Roost in colonies in grooves. Fruits and grain is their main food. Nest in tree hollows and lay up to 4 eggs.
Green Winged Macaw (Ara Chloroptera): Found in North and South America. It is seen in Paris. True forest bird. Eggs are elliptical in shape. Incubation by female for 5 weeks. Chicks leave the nest 103 days after hatching.
