Jaguar (Panthera onca): Jaguar is the largest cat of the new world living in tropical forests of South America. It resembles a leopard but it is more heavily built. Unlike spotted coat of leopard, the spots of Jaguar are larger and arranged in a rosette around a central spot. It is solitary and lives close to rivers in lowlands. It hunts deer, large rodents, and relishes fish. The gestation period may last from 95- 110 days. Jaguars usually give birth to 2-4 cubs.
