Tortoise in a small pond:
Demoiselle Crane (Anthropoides virgo): A winter migrant crane from southern Europe, northern Africa and Asia. These cranes fly in broad “V” formation with outstretched necks and legs. Feeds mainly on gram and wheat grain and sometimes insects. They rest along lake beds, and nest on the ground in marshy area.

Sacred Baboon (Papio hamadryas): These are found in Africa. They are found farther north in Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Somalia. They usually inhabit rocky open country but also live in woodlands. Typically the troops consists of old males, juveniles, females and babies. Several troops may gang together to form herds. They eat a variety of food including seeds, shoots, fruits, butterflies, grasshoppers, and eggs. Breeds throughout the year. Pairings are temporary. Gestation period is 180 to 190 days. One young is born.
