Salar Jung Museum is located in Nayapul, Hyderabad. It is a museum made by the collection of Salar Jung family. It has some very rare collections dating back to the 1st century. Photography inside the museum is not allowed. The museum has 38 galleries in three buildings known as Central Block, Eastern Block (Mir Laiq Ali Khan Bhavan) and Western Block (Mir Turab Ali Khan Bhavan). The Central Block with 27 galleries (ground floor 15 galleries, first floor 12 galleries). The museum is divided in to many sections such as Education Wing, Chemical Conservation Laboratory, Photo section, Display section, Reception and a Sales counter. Entry ticket is Rs. Rs. 10 for Indian Nationals, Rs. 150 for Foreign Nationals, Students with ID card are given 50% concession. During ‘Children’s Week’ (14th-20th November) school children up to 12 years of age accompanied by teachers are allowed free of charge. During the “Museum Week” (8th – 14th January) public is given concession in the entrance ticket. Timings are from : 10.00 am – 5.00 pm. The museum is closed on Fridays and Public Holidays.
Legislative Assembly: It is the seat of legislature of Andhra Pradesh. The architecture is a combination of Rajasthani and Persian styles. It was built in 1913. Originally it was known as Hyderabad State Town Hall. Timings are from: 10.00 am – 5.00 pm. It is closed on Mondays.
