Visiting Nagarhole National Park

Nagarhole National Park covers 64,330 hectares and is 80 km away from the city of Mysore. There are many different species of animals that are found in this park and just some of them include wild elephants, leopards, tigers, mouse deer, four-horned antelope, wild boar, hyena, otter and mongoose.

If you are in need of an exciting vacation, then this is definitely the place to go. While you are at home playing on PartyPoker.com or reading a book to chill out, why not take a quick look online to find out a bit more about this area and perhaps begin planning a trip.

This is said to be one of the best wildlife parks throughout the whole of India and it was set up in 1955. Nagarhole National Park was then greatly expanded in 1975 to include more forest. The Kabini River is located to the north of the park and to the south you will find the Bandipur National Park.

The climate is something to think about if you are planning to travel to this area. Monsoon season can be quite unpredictable, however it normally rains from June to September. Also, during the winter temperatures can be around 14 degrees Celsius so you will probably want to come during their summer from March through to May.

For those interested in flora, there is plenty of plant-life to keep you occupied in this park. The most common vegetation to find around here are southern tropical, moist, mixed deciduous types. There is also a substantial eastern portion which integrate into a dry deciduous type. There are a lot of different kinds of trees and this will prove very intriguing to study if you are interested.

This is a fantastic place to visit if you want to really get back to nature. So be sure to do some research and have a great time if you decide to visit.

Mysore bike trip featured on Bangalore Mirror Newspaper

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that Bangalore to Mysore trip blogs was published on Bangalore Mirror Monday’s Edition, 01/09/2008. The article was posted on page 10 “Tech Venture” section with the title “A slice of history, a dekko at wildlife”. They picked the content from all my 4 articles:
