After that we went to see the tea gardens in Darjeeling.

On the way we saw St. Joseph’s School. St. Joseph’s School is a Government Aided private school run by Jesuit Fathers in Darjeeling. Fr. Henry Depelchin founded the school in 1888. The Kangchenjunga (third highest peak in the world) mountain range forms the scenic backdrop to the school. The school and the college of the same name are popularly known as North Point.

Then, we saw the station Ghum. Ghum (also spelt Ghoom) is a small hilly locality in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region of West Bengal. Ghum railway station of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is the highest rail-station in India. It is situated at an altitude of 2,225.7 metres (7,407 ft). The place is the home of the Ghum Monastery and the Batasia Loop, a bend of the Darjeeling Himalayan railway. Ghum is the meeting point of several roads. The Hill Cart Road from Siliguri to Darjeeling runs through the town. It is 6 km from Darjeeling. It is 24 km from Kurseong via Sonada. Kalimpong is about 45 km via Lopchu. Another road leads to Mongpu and then on to Kalimpong-Siliguri road. There is a road to Kurseong via Dow Hill. Sukhiapokhri, almost on the India-Nepal border is 11 km on the road to Mirik.

As Nepal border was quite nearby from Darjeeling so we decided to go to Pashupati Nagar in Nepal. In Nepal we did some shopping.

After that we returned to Darjeeling and from there we went to Siliguri in a sumo. From Siliguri we took a bus to Howrah and from Howrah we took a train to reach Durg.
