After the Ganga Maiya temple we went to see the Kapileshwar Temple. Kapileshwar Temple Group is situated in Balod. This complex consists of seven temples which include Kapileahwar temple, Ganesh temple, Durga temple, Ramajanki temple, Radhakrishna temple and Hanuman temple. This temple was built by the Nag Vanshi rulers during the 14th–15th century A.D. There is a round shaped bawdi (stepwell) in front of Kapileshwar temple in the complex with stairs and it contains religious sanctity because its water was poured on the Lingum and the sculptures to bathe them. This temple has important archaeological and religious value.
