Bangalore to Ramanagaram on bike: Chapter 1: Ramadevara Betta: Part 1: Region where Hindi movie Sholay was shot

It was a Saturday morning and I was ready for yet another bike trip. Ramanagaram is 50 km southwest of Bangalore. You have to take Mysore road to reach there.
Route from Bangalore to Ramanagaram: Bangalore–(take Mysore Road)–12 km–>Kengeri–18 km–>Bidadi–20 km–>Ramanagaram
After an hour drive I reached Ramanagaram. I saw a board which read “Ramadevara Betta 3 km” and it pointed to the right side. I took the right turn and reached Ramadevara Betta (Betta means “hill” in Kannada). Ramadevara Betta and its surrounding regions are the same place where the legendary Hindi movie Sholay was shot. There was a nice gate at the entrance:

Inside I saw a Swamiji, near to a stone inscribed sculpture of Lord Hanuman:

There were stairs which lead to the top of the hills:


From there I could see the neighboring hills:

At the top I found a beautiful Gulmohar (Delonix Regia) tree:
