- Tenkathittu Yakshagana: An excellent blend of dance, drama, music is the performance of Yakshagana on the stage, captivating the audience filling the eye and ear with dazzling color combinations and pleasant tunes to set music. It looks as though the spectators are lifted out of the dull routine to a world of joy. That is precisely what Tenkathittu does, as if by magic. Along with the singing voice of the Bhagavatar mingle resonant instruments namely chande, maddle and jagate. Throughout the night there flows the merriment of aesthetic experience arousing out of the illustrious costumes, enactment of the roles by the artists accompanied by sparkling diction and delivery. Events and episodes selected for Tenkathittu Yakshagana are always drawn from the epics and the sacred texts, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas and Bhagavatas.
