Bangalore to Ramohalli on bike: Part 1: Vishwa Okkaligara Mahasamsthana Matt: Huge Golden Statue of Lord Ganesha (Vinayaka), Kengeri

Date of visit: 27/05/2010

This was not a legendary bike travel as we basically do. It was just that I got up early and thought of visiting Ramohalli. Ramohalli is located at a distance of 28 km from Bangalore. The  route is: Bangalore–22–>Kengeri–6–>Ramohalli. It was 6 am, so there wasn’t any traffic in Mysore road. On the way I saw a huge statue of Lord Ganesha. It was inside the gate which read Vishwa Okkaligara Mahasamsthana Matt. The statue was golden in color and was at the top of temple. It was majestic and glittered like a jewel in the morning sun. There was some construction going on, so I guess you can see a lot more when it’s done.
