- A model showing formation of whirlpool: In this video you can observe the formation of a funnel shaped vortex. Vortex is a mass of whirling fluid, which spirals in towards its center. Water at high speed enters the top of the jar along its periphery and sets the water in swirling motion. At the same time water is sucked through a small opening at the base. Because of the swirling motion, water is thrown away from the center creating a void there. At the bottom, air is also sucked along with water, causing the water to drain along the outer edge of the opening. The swirling motion being stronger at the top than in the layers below, the air column assumes the shape of a funnel. Tornadoes, the strong circulating wind systems and whirlpools found in the streams and in the seas are vortices in nature.
- 3D Shadows:
- Water in your body: This displays tells the weight and water content in your body. After standing and pressing the button water gets filled into the glass container equal to the water content of your body. Water constitutes 70% of the weight of a normal human being.
- Head on a platter: This was best of the lot. There was a platter kept on a reflecting glass table. You can go inside the room and there was a opening from where you can put your head out of the platter.
Water content in my body: For 74.5 kg the water content should be theoretically around 52. 15, but the markings in the glass displayed around 57 kg. I guess I drank more water that day 🙂
My head on the platter 🙂
