Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, Part 9: Brown fish owl (Bubo zeylonensis), The Spotted Owlet (Athene brama), Jungle Cat (Felis chaus)

Brown fish owl (Bubo zeylonensis): A large brown owl with feather tufts projecting above the head like long ears. Found throughout Indian union, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Burma.

Barn Owl:

The Spotted Owlet (Athene brama): Size of a Myna a squat white spotted eyish grown owl. Found throughout India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. Crepuscular and nocturnal in nature. Both sexes share all domestic chores.

Jungle Cat (Felis chaus): Found throughout India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Indo-China and Northern Africa. Weighs 5-6 kgs. Inhabits dry open regions and feeds on small mammals and birds. Breeds between April-June and August-November. Video of Jungle cat:
