Trip to Varanasi aka Banaras aka Kashi: Chapter 5: Part 6: Dev Deepavali -Kartik Poornima -Ganga Mahotsav 2009
The ghats were lighted with diya and it was a real pleasure to be at that place at that time. Oh boy, that’s the way to celebrate a festival. The colors, the light, the people, the music, the smoke, simply amazing. We saw a baba encircled by a group of people.
In this rush I am not sure where my brother went and I kept on clicking pictures. Then, I went to Dasaswamedh ghat for the Ganga Aarti. At that time the place was getting occupied.
At 7 pm the aarti started and it was different from the regular aarti. I was standing quite far from the stage. In this case, the camera zoom comes into play. The place was filled with smoke.
